I’m Soraya from Belgium and I spent the school year 2021/22 in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
SPIL chose a really nice family and school for me, which both I pretty enjoyed throughout the school year.
I enrolled in Transition Year, which was great for me regarding improving my English with less academic pressure and gaining experiences like a variation of trips and workshops.
In school I made lovely friends. SPIL took care of me well; my local coordinator showed up regularly to check up on me and the agency organized trips to Killarney and Galway with their students.
Fortunately, I had the chance to try the new EU programme by Erasmus+ that co-funded my exchange.
