Bernie Carroll is founder and Managing Director of Student Programmes Ireland Ltd along with her husband Joe Carroll.

Bernie has been managing a similar company called Ballyhoura Country Holidays since 2002 and due to the increased demand for International Students to come to Ireland to study and improve their English Language Learning Skills she decided in 2007 that is was time to set up her own company and hence she set the wheels in motion to set up the new company.

Bernie has 12 years of experience in dealing with International students and over the years has produced a very detailed  Student Hand Book which is given to each student  on day of arrival to help the over such issues as home sickness.

Bernie has built up a very powerful team for her business over the past few years from the Program Administrators in the office to the Local Coordinators on the ground and the Liaison Officers from each country .  This structure provides each student with a powerful back up service that is not offered by any other agency in Ireland.

Since the company was founded in 2009 it has won two major awards and has been finalist in two other national awards .
